On the heels of successful public presentations in Kentucky, New York, and New Mexico, EquiLottery President and CEO Brad Cummings will be presenting this new lottery game based on the results of live horse races to the California Horse Racing Board Wednesday, September 24. The meeting, being held at Los Alamitos Race Course at 9:30 am, is open to the public and audio will be made available live at chrb.ca.gov under webcasts and in the archives afterwards.
“There has been considerable interest for EquiLottery among racing’s stakeholders in California and we believe it is important for CHRB Commissioners to hear the details of the game and receive answers to any questions they might have,” said CHRB executive director Rick Baedeker. “CHRB staff saw the proposal this summer and felt it has great potential to boost revenues and increase racing’s exposure to the general public.”
Unveiled to the general public on July 9 of this year, EquiLottery has received significant attention across the globe, drawing interest from 28 states and provinces and across five continents.
“I want to thank the CHRB for giving us this opportunity to discuss EquiLottery with some of the biggest names in California racing,” said Cummings. “This is now our third trip to California since July. Obviously, we see this key racing state with an impressive lottery featuring over 21,000 points of distribution as a big opportunity to deliver a win for all parties involved.”
